Future AMA Hall-of-Famer and two-time National Champion Dick Mann engineered the frame. An Ossa Stiletto TT motor provided the power, Results proving the machine's performance came quickly as Mann raced his machine and won the AMA National Short Track event at Santa Fe Speedway in 1969, Other top main event placings followed with a second-place finish at Houston's Astrodome in 1970. Total production for DMR's is not known but an approximate number is thought to be 160 units. Our motorcycle was built in 1971 and having serial number 152 makes it one of the last built. Frames are made from thin-wall AISI 4130 steel, Construction is simple & clean, Nothing superfluous is added and the handling is legendary, Factory issued forks were Telesco brand, Girling shocks, Spool hub wheels on front & rear use Akront alloy rims, No brakes, Minimal capacity fiberglass fuel tank with a slim line seat on top, 33 mm IRZ carburetor, Expansion chamber is well-tuned for maximum torque and efficiency. Everything else is up to the rider...add gas and oil, run & bump-off to fire, turn-on, hang on and turn left.
