- Notable Features : This righteous 1960's era Sonicweld rig is powered by a Suzuki X-6 250 motor, Number 55 was purchased from the stable of life-long racer Tom Horton in Palmdale Calif., It's a period correct machine per the early days when AMA rules dictated No Brakes Allowed, Typical modifications include cylinder porting, head work yielding higher compression, ARD mag, dual expansion chambers both exiting on the right, right-side shifter, compression releases, and a custom rear sprocket adapter with quick-change knock-off bolted to a Triumph hub. Mikuni carbs have 28 mm throttle bores to comply with modern rules but allow good power to be made, Scitsu tachometer is throughly modern and a fine addition.
The rest of the running gear like alloy rims, Betor forks, fiberglass fuel, and Goodyear tires round-out the package.
