  • Notable Features : Yamaha's 1975 MX125-B was a model carried-over from 1974 production. No changes to enhance power or improve handling were made. Alterations for 1975 were limited only to paint and graphics. Nevertheless the motors had been upgraded during the prior year and offered adequate performance for off-road riding. After all, the hotter, more race-worthy YZ125-A / B versions from their respective years shared the same basic engine design. Our MX was purchased from Anthony " Tiger " Palmeri out of California. Tony began young during the Golden Days of SoCal dirt-biking / MX wars and is a multi-decade enthusiast & competitive racer. While a 125 with average power is below his " pay grade ", his original intention was to use the small-bore Yamaha in a series of Celebrity Races promoted by Marty Tripes. But this particular Yamaha was too clean, too perfect, & too original to be destroyed and was offered for sale. The motorcycle was purchased from Tony for the same reasons.
