Bultaco ASTRO M-195
Technical Details
  • Year Built : 1978
  • Engine : 250 cc Two-stroke single
  • Transmission : 5-Speed
  • Electrics : Motoplat CDI flywheel magneto
  • Notable Features : The Bultaco M-195 was the final version of their famous & ever-popular Astro track racers, For 1978 the " black motor " was altered so that either 250 cc cylinders or 360 cc top ends could be used, Therefore the 250's bore x stroke was no longer 72 mm x 60 mm but instead 70 mm x 64 mm, The machine displayed here is close to factory specifications but does have several changes, The OE Lectron carb was replaced with a Mikuni VM and the original rear brake set-up is now Hurst-Airheart. With the exception of modern style tires ( now too hard for track use ) and new paint with a minor graphics variation, this 195 makes no other excuses. It runs out fine and could be back on track with only fresh fuel & tires.
