  - Year Built : 1967

  - Engine : 250 cc OHV

  - Transmission : 4 Speed

  - Electrics : 6 Volt DC generator, Battery and coil ignition

  - Notable Features : The 1967 250 cc Harley-Davidson Sprint received an upgraded motor with
larger bore and shorter stroke ( 72 mm x 61 mm ), A modified head and
valve cover design having additional cooling fins patterned in
balanced symmetry was matched to a new alloy cylinder, Gone was the
solid cast iron cylinder, With more efficient cooling the motor's
thermal stability improved, The motorcycle displayed here is in
factory-built condition with all OEM parts including Pirelli tires,
Sold new by Yeske Brothers H-D in Winona, Minnesota the odometer now
shows 6750 miles, For 1967 Harley-Davidson altered the Sprint H
appearance by using a 5-gallon fuel tank, Also produced that year was
a new Sprint model called the SS, The SS carried a familiar-looking
teardrop shaped tank as supplied on H models from 1966 & before, At
first glance the SS appeared to be a revamped H but such was not the
case, Other than its large tank the 1967 H model bodywork continued
mostly as before and kept its single Veglia speedometer
headlight-mounted while the SS motorcycle acquired a new speedometer
and tachometer housed in a fork-mounted alloy nacelle. Better yet, SS
headlights now resembled those found on Harley's XLCH Sportster and
its other components were restyled to create the updated " super sport
" look. All in all, the SS proved to be more popular and H model
production was limited. A factory correct 1966 Sprint H with the
smaller tank is shown on Page 4.
